The creation of Pearls of Wisdom Councils, Inc. (POWC) is a direct response to meeting with more than 7,500 women in various kinds of businesses. As I listened over the last 20 years to the common frustrations and concerns that women in business have, I saw the need for a particular kind of network, which did not exist locally.
I have been in business for myself for the past 24 years and I know what it’s like to feel alone, overwhelmed, exhausted and too busy to spend time with friends and family.
The new network I envisioned is a women’s business roundtable. Besides providing meaningful business support, the network also serves as an advisory board and marketing department, something most small businesses or practices do not have.
When I decided to move forward with my idea, I didn’t have the name. I told a friend about the concept and she said, “Oh, everyone gets to share their pearls of wisdom.” Then I remembered, my grandmother’s middle name was Pearl. And I knew at that moment I had the name "Pearls of Wisdom Network".
Through mentoring, brainstorming and multi-dimensional marketing, POWC carries you and your business to places you may never reach trying to do it alone. With the Pearls of Wisdom Network, you "don’t have to do it alone”.
