Linda Jaskiel Brown says that her two careers – financial planner and trainer/coach in the horse industry – have plenty in common: they both demand “tremendous discipline and patience.” Twice she was long-listed for the U.S. Olympic Dressage Team. For more than 30 years, she has trained, completed and coached at all levels of dressage.

Linda came to her second career as an investor herself. She had found that brokers were interested more in selling a product rather than educating the consumer. In order to understand the whole financial process, she decided to educate herself. Learning to be a financial planner and passing the rigorous Certified Financial Planner exam opened a whole new world.

She says she finds combining her two passions in 10-hour workdays to be a perfect blend of the physical and the mental. Linda and her husband, Max, have a small horse farm in Sarasota County.
