Christine Bauer was
raised in St. Petersburg in a family that practiced natural
health. A boyfriend’s mother fine-tuned that interest when she
introduced Christine to massage therapy when she was only 13. She
became a licensed massage therapist at 18 and she has been an
acupuncture physician for 11 years.
At Good HealthKeepers, Christine and
her husband, Tom, specialize in pain control and structural restoration. Their
customized, one-on-one patient care enables them to work with a variety of acute
and chronic conditions, as well as with people who just want a healthier
lifestyle. A unique offering at their practice is the gym on the premises, and
the only one locally to offer the Roboflex Exoskeletal Trainer™, a workout
machine developed for astronauts on which you can do 450 different exercises.
“We don’t send you out with a
prescription for three treatments a week and a bag of herbs. We work with your
whole lifestyle,” says Christine, who spends a minimum of one hour with each
patient.
To relax, Christine throws pottery
and practices yoga. She and Tom have two Norwegian elkhounds and an Australian
Shepard.
